specifically. nbc broke the story tonight trump s legal team and mueller s investigators are planning to move forward without a presidential interview which comes as the president is publicly claiming he is eager to cooperate. apparently pushing back on a reported plan by his former strategist steve bannon to cripple the probe by doing lots of stuff that is a little unclear. basically refusing to play ball. the president tweeted today i have agreed with the historically cooperative disciplined approach. we have engaged with robert mueller unlike the clintons. there are reasons to believe that behind closed doors, he s taking a very different approach. according to a reporter for cbs news responding to the tweet, a source tells me trump called yesterday and asked the source to go on tv and call for the firing of mueller. the president is tweeting about his cooperative response to the
