In 1915, president Woodrow Wilson put a memorabilia box at Arlington National cemetery. In april 2020, the box was carefully removed and opened. About this memorabilia box, we really have to take you back to 1864 in order to bring you forward to 1915. In 1864 we buried the first in maine. Re and then the secretary of war set aside 200 acres to become a national cemetery. By the end of the civil war there were 15,000 confederate soldiers buried here as well as union soldiers. And general john logan established Decoration Day, she declared may 30 of every year. The idea is that people would placethe graves and flowers. Decoration day became a more real day.
