Its a little hazy out there and it is all across the bay area. Air quality suffering now for the north bay, the east bay and the south bay with pour conditions in all these areas again you are immediately going to notice that smell smoke as you wake up this morning. Its going to be the first thing thats changed from yesterday as far as what you do notice skies are dry all across the region and we do have relatively calm winds for most areas this is the positive factor here we have wildfires burning in eastern Contra Costa County amid what is generally some calmer winds overnight winds picking up today though of course these napa blazes as well very dry conditions up here lower humidity than what we had been seeing winds mostly out of the west and then multiple fires burning closer to the south to including in Santa Cruz County up in the Santa Cruz Mountains so a lot of smoke being put up it is going to be another hot one not sure ideal day to be spending much time outside definitely fi

Low 60s including san jose is 61. We are starting in the east bay steve but we are going to try to touch all the commutes. The each bay commute has a little bit of a delay here. You will also see some slow traffic on the east shore freeway. 33 minutes better than yesterday at this time getting out to the bay bridge is backed up for a little bit. Coming up we will touch on the san jose and the south bay commute. Now it is 7 02 pellets go back to the desk been we are working on a couple of developings story. One is in east san jose. The rafah Border Crossing between egypt and gaza, the southern tip of gaza opening briefly and allowing 20 aid trucks into gaza. And after hamas releases two american hostages, more families are awaiting answers. Were talking to a mom and dad pleading for the release of their son, a harrowing tale as Israel Security officials are signaling readiness for a Ground Offensive. Trey yinst begins the hour. He is in our israel. David, good morning. Israelis continue to strike targets along the gaza strip as 15 days into this conflict, hamas are firing into central israel. I want to move away so the cameraman can pan the sunset. You can see thats gaza in the distance, you can see the smoke rising in the area and the sun is about to go down. This is coming as were getting new images from the southern Border Crossing between gaza and egypt. The rafah crossing. We have these temperatures that are cold to start. Not even because of the winds. Its cold air that has settled in over us. In part due to the fact that on the radar and satellite it looks good. Totally clear picture across the region. When youve got a clear picture, you dont have that blanket of clouds overhead to keep in the warmth, it escapes overnight. Youre left with 20s in the morning. Heres the temperature trend as we go through the next few hours. Well go from the freezing mark to 38 at 9 00 a. M. 47 by noon. Well talk about the temperatures in the afternoon through all of our neighborhoods coming up in a few minutes. Right now, over to traffic with Pamela Osborne. Well start things off in delaware. So, if you dont have a garage, you dont have an overhang to park under your car, too, will be covered in ice and of course you need to clean it off before you try and hit the roads. Luckily at this point most of our roads are not covered in ice, at least not if theyve been treated and of course all the highways have been treated so heavily the last few days with the series of storms that weve been facing. Live look at the schuylkill expressway here at conshohocken and since last we checked the travel time has gotten about 10 minutes better. Now its about a 20 minute delay as you come eastbound but you have to keep those speeds down and it looks like the this afternoon people have been doing that which is a good thing. Meanwhile on the boulevard we had a truck fire near adams avenue. Thats cleared out. But they
