The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Railways responsible for developing Railway land, has invited online bids for leasing four land parcels cumulatively spanning 7.36 acres in Chennai.
Two of the land parcels of 2.5 acres each are in the Ayanavaram Railway Colony, along Konnur High Road and Duncan Road. Two other land parcels are located at Walltax Road (0.27 acres) and at Pulianthope (2.09 acres). The parcels shall be leased out for 45 years.

New Delhi: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Wedenday informed that redevelopment of New Delhi railway station has been taken up on Public Private Partnership mode. The cost of the project, which will transform the station to world-class multi-modal hub, is estimated as Rs 5,000 crores. Nine major global and domestic companies including GMR Highways, Adani Railways and realtor Omaxe are in the race to bag the redevelopment project the station.
RLDA to conduct virtual roadshows on the redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station
The objective of the initiative is to engage with stakeholders such as leading international real estate developers, infrastructure players and financial institutions from advanced geographies such as Europe, Australia and South Asia.
Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Railways, is planning to conduct virtual roadshows on the redevelopment of the New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) project. These roadshows will be organised online from January 14 to 19, 2021.
These will be with investors and developers from various countries like Singapore, Australia, Dubai, and Spain, to discuss the project concept and the proposed transaction structure with the potential bidders.
