Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): A four-day residential training programme on Key Resource Centre (KRC) for second batch began on November 21 at Hotel Moon Star in Dimapur. The training would cover the ethos of Jal Jeevan Mission for good water governance to achieve long-term sustainability. A press release from the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), informed that the KRC is one of the key components under JJM. It added that University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya, has been assigned as the KRC under Jal Jeevan Mission for North East India under Ministry of Jal Shakti, government of India, for thematic areas to cover including knowledge and skill, community participation, women empowerment, leadership building among village council/ VWSC representatives in planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of the water supply infrastructure created.
