league no-hitter. both were thrown by the dodgers pitchers, good for them. those are some of our top stories on this thursday, june 19th. announcer: from abc news, this is world news now. and a good friday eve to you. i am devin dwyer. i m rina ninan. we actually begin this half-hour with the desperate search for a missing firefighter in the rugged area of california mountains. that s right. he was off duty, a backpacking trip with a friend when he vanished last weekend. now a new clue may have turned up. abc s molly hunter has the details. reporter: on day three of the search finally another clue. a possible sighting of michael herdman s dog duke. we found his backpack. we found footprints in the direction he was last seen going. we re starting from there and working our way out methodically. rock by rock, bush by bush. reporter: the 36-year-old firefighter has been missing for six days now. on friday, he went running after duke and disappeared into the darkness. the
