New Delhi: Pamela Goswami, Secretary of West Bengal Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), who was
arrested for allegedly possessing cocaine in Kolkata along with another, is a former model, who joined the saffron brigade in July 2019.
Goswami had joined BJP in presence of its West Bengal unit chief Dilip Ghosh. Bengali film and television actress Rimjhim Mitra and actor Surojit Choudhury had also joined the BJP along with her.
Later on, Goswami was appointed Secretary of BJYM West Bengal unit and is believed to be very active on ground and in party activities.

BJP youth leader Pamela Goswami was arrested on Friday for carrying cocaine. Her friend Probir Kumar Dey has also been arrested from NR Avenue in New Alipore area of Kolkata.

yuva face in Kolkata, although not a well-known face in state politics, Pamela Goswami is now behind the bars for the possession of 100 gm of cocaine. Goswami, the state secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), was along with a friend Prabir Kumar Dey in her car when both of them were arrested on Friday for possessing the contraband.
