STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The 30-year-old man who was stabbed while in the lobby of one of the Richmond Terrace Houses in New Brighton Tuesday night had to be resuscitated by officers before being transported to the hospital, police said.
The victim is still listed in critical condition but is expected to survive, the NYPD said in a written statement.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Detectives believe a 26-year-old man gunned down at the Stapleton Houses on Wednesday was the intended target of the attack and was not randomly shot, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
Mark Bajandas of Mariners Harbor was fatally shot around 2 a.m. behind 77 Hill St. while he was attending a vigil to honor the victim of prior gun violence in the neighborhood, sources said.
