"Through that process, and through citizen communications coming to us, it appears that there are additional areas of Lee County that are unserved and underserved," County Administrator Holly Leverette said.
According to commission documents, there were previously four polling stations for approximately 47,000 voters, in the Auburn area, compared to five places for 28,000 voters in the Opelika area.
"We ve been in discussion with the architect McKee & Associates and the highway department about re-scoping this bid in order to lower the overall cost," Parks Manager Ryan Norris said.
