Of tens of thousands of public fleets in North and South America, the National Fleet Management Association placed Ames Fleet Services Department and Iowa State University in the top 100.
The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas –– though only U.S. companies were featured on the list placed Iowa State University at 53rd and Ames at 89th. There are 38,000 public fleets in North America and thousands of others in South America, according to a news release.
“In our application, we presented our efforts toward sustainability by using more biodiesel vehicles,” Ames Fleet Support Manager Rich Iverson said in the release.
