Abilene police bubble over with intoxication calls

Abilene police bubble over with intoxication calls And while most did, not every call involved alcohol. On Thursday night, a man was found in the 1600 block of Highway 351, parked in his car outside a business. He was found to be intoxicated, according to reports. Police said that after several unsuccessful attempts to get the man a ride, he was arrested for public intoxication and taken to Taylor County Jail. Later, police saw a woman s vehicle allegedly veer into oncoming traffic, causing another driver to have to move to the side of the road to avoid being hit.  The woman was arrested at the intersection of South 16th and Butternut streets for driving while intoxicated.
