Providence police ID victim of City s first homicide of 2021

PROVIDENCE A 44-year-old man with ties to East Providence is the focus of the city’s first homicide investigation in 2021, authorities said Monday morning.
Providence police Maj. David Lapatin said he believed the man, Tillman Hodge, was the victim of a “targeted” homicide and he and asked the public for assistance in finding the man’s killer.
Hodge, who was shot, was dropped off at Rhode Island Hospital at 7:15 a.m. Sunday and later died from his injuries.
