dada . all right. top of the hour. here s a quick check of the headlines. deadly flooding affected up to a million people in pakistan. at least 800 people are dead. the flood waters washed away homes and schools. the man accused of leaking sensitive information to a website is in custody. he s being held in quantico, virginia, accused of leaking thousands of pages of documents on the war in afghanistan. in case you haven t heard or got the invitation, it s chelsea clinton s wedding day. the former first daughter is having her big day in upstate new york. our top story this afternoon, heavy flooding is washing away homes and schools in ak sppakistan. it s happening in the northwest frontier province including the swan valley. 800 people are dead and reza sayeh is there with the dramatic look at the devastation. reporter: we are getting our first look at the damage caused by three days of floods and record-breaking monsoon rains in pakistan. what we are seeing is a di
were large numbers of the country s security forces. a few clashes erupted between the two sides as demonstrators marked the anniversary of that country s contested presidential election. reza sayeh is in islamabad right now. has the protest movement been muted all together in iran? reporter: i think as far as street protests go, many people will tell you that they re definitely on the decline and many people were eager to see if the opposition movement would do a repeat of last year s movement. they didn t. witnesses saying there were small pockets of protests, small clashes, about 14 arrests. but this was another day when a huge number of security forces simply overwhelmed an outnumbered protestors, not allowing them to gather anywhere. amateur video showed perhaps the biggest protest taking place at
a major university in tehran. we spoke to a student who said hundreds gathered chanting anti-government slogans and after an hour it was broken up. the first set of clashes took place around 6:00 p.m. according to witnesses, security forces chasing away a growing number of people, hitting some of them with batons, arresting about four people. witnesses saying some of those arrested were taken away blind folded with black hoods, something we haven t seen before. but, again, fredricka, no widespread protest. the last time we seen widespread protest by opposition movement, almost six months ago. thanks so much, reza. appreciate that. today s rx factor, protecting your children from the sun. it won t just help them now but
