Laurentian University’s senators will likely be asked to endorse a plan to cut jobs and programs during a secret Senate meeting on Tuesday, members of Save Our Sudbury were told during a Zoom meeting held Friday.
Jen Johnson, a faculty member of the Senate, said senators have been asked to attend an in-camera meeting “on very short notice.”

Johnson, an associate professor and chair of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, said they will be given a package Tuesday morning to consider, then return for a meeting at 1 p.m. to vote on it.
