PURGATORY – Sean Wren estimates he spent 50 days this season out on the slopes at Purgatory Resort, and he was not about to miss getting some final turns in Sunday, the last day of the season.

Last week, the main lift from the resort’s base camp broke, resulting in longer wait times. Terrance Siemon/Ballantine Communications Inc. Chairlifts are not allowed to be as packed as in normal years, which can result in longer waits on busy days, said Purgatory Resort General Manager Dave Rathbun.
