during hoover, they told dr. king to kill himself. the civil rights movement were all communists. they went after and surveilled not only dr. king but fred hampton who they essentially got killed not even essentially, orchestrated the raid that got him murdered. falsely convicted black panther prattof murder. i could go on. planted a story that seabird was pregnant by a black panthers leading her to kill herself which is what they wanted her to do. black people suspicious of the fbi and for real legitimize people. it was weaponized against the civil rights movement. just one second. what you have when you look at the polls, michael, now republicans don t trust the fbi. the favorability among democratics is 79%. i don t have a broken down by race but that is ironic stuff, michael steele. no, it is ironic and the kind of stuff that just really makes
talk to people who don t want to give up their guns. they all have different reasons for having guns and all have what sounded to me like legitimate reasons. they got them through all different times in their lives. but they are of course disgusted by the gun violence and they have different solutions and so it is so maddening and vexing that their lawmakers, all of our elected lawmakers can t do any of these things i think there are two things that emerge for me. first there is a tendency to kind of demonize the other side whatever the other side is. we see this is not the case in this issue here. people who care about their guns and second amenitiment but support common sense gun safety regulations. what is frustrating is a lot of these specific regulations that were proposed have already, in the segment, were proposed by democrats and republicans shot them down. i know that joe will say that is because republicans don t trust democrats but there is a reason why people don t trust
that shows a good majority, strong majority of republicans don t trust the fbi, they don t trust the department of justice. and what he s saying here in a republican primary is singing to the base. you know, patricia, when desantis is talking about pardoning january 6th defendants, i have to think that is going to rub a lot of independent voters, obviously rubs a lot of democratic voters, but i would think even some in the republican party that were aghast at what happened on january 6th, maybe that s not a huge portion of the republican party but there are certainly some. those are not minor comments coming from the florida governor. that s a pretty significant thing to say, i would think. you know, my colleagues who were with some of his donors in miami today this week, sorry, asked sort of what do we make of these answers that the governor has been giving to conservative media now that he s a candidate.
