CLEMSON, S.C. - The No. 25 Clemson womenâs soccer team. opened their season with a 0-0 result against the Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday evening at Historic Riggs Field in front of more than a thousand people, despite great scoring opportunities from both squads.  âIt was great to be back out at Historic Riggs Field,â said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. âIt was a very good game tonight between two great teams. [Texas A&Mâs Head Coach G Guerrieri] Gâs group is competitive, and their shape was a challenge. Iâm really pleased with our performance so early in the season. The work ethic we put in was exceptional. If we can move forward with that type of commitment, weâre going to be in good shape. I also want to thank all the fans that came out tonight. CLEMSON, S.C. â The Clemson womenâs soccer team is heading into the season ranked 25th, according to the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll. The Tigers are coming off a season in which they went 12-7-1 overall, reached the ACC Tournament semifinal and went to its eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament. The Tigers bring back 20 returners from last season, including All-American and First Team All-ACC selection Megan Bornkamp and All-Conference players in Hal Hershfelt, Makenna Morris and Renee Lyles, who was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team. Clemson is one of six teams from the ACC ranked in the United Soccer Coaches preseason top 25. Defending National Champion Florida State garnered the first spot in the poll, while Duke (2nd), Virginia (4th), North Carolina (10th) and Notre Dame (16th) were also in the top 25.
