The first such move under stricter rules introduced after the 2011 Nuclear Accident in fukushima. The decision affects the number one and two reactors at takahama plant in central japan. Both are currently offline. But the regulators decision to keep them operational for up to 20 more years. In april, inspectors determined that the reactors met new rules for Fire Prevention for electric cables and other measures.
