Tree leaves turn yellow and then brown due to drought. These symptoms trigger remediation strategies. For leaders, they are not so visible and are often ignored.
this for 100 hours or more. but as the hours crawl by, the chance of finding more survivors obviously continues to drop. that s what the family members are hoping will not happen. they are hoping for some kind of miracle. young people, old people, all of them were caught up in this horrific building collapse. only now are we learning of an engineering report back in 2018 that suggested there were cracks in the concrete of this building and perhaps problems with some of the structural steel that needed to be remediated. the building s board of directors apparently authorized that remediation to begin very soon. it was scheduled. if that is in fact what led to the cause much this collapse, structural problems with the building, that remediation
everybody in the building knew i was from the fbi. they didn t particularly care for me being there, but they definitely knew who i was. inside the cia headquarters build, people were whining and bitching about all kind of things, the fbi this and that. the fbi has a job to do just like we do. we clearly had a serious problem. when i get over there, good night all my briefings i get all my briefings and learned i had over 300 cases in the cia where cia employees had failed counterintelligence polygraph. that means you had 300 potential spies in the cia that had never been resolved. at the time, if you fail a cia polygraph, nothing ever happens to you. aldrich ames failed several times, and nothing was done. that s a being number, 300. how that s a big number, 300. how did this change the way the cia would vet people and assess possible threats? what happens is if you fail the polygraph you immediately go into kind of a remediation
york. new york city council says it doesn t do the constituents any good if so much of that sandy aid isn t doing any good for them. councilman, how do you feel about what they are kicking around? $16 billion in future spending, that s not emergency aiding, that s not helping anyone on the ground. it is increasing our national debt n. 2009, when president obottomma was running you know, running around the country talking about we can t mortgage our future, we can t have the credit card mentality of george bush where you are giving chine at credit card and walking away and putting the debt on our kids. now all of a sudden, it s okay to do it. there is emergency relief and then there are general fund issues. the fact is, we talk about $12 to $16 billion that won t be spent now, talking about the remediation effort. alaska fisheries. that s still in there. future spenning,
remediation effort at that depth. how do you know any of this might work? well, you know, john, what we had was since the beginning, we wanted the goals were clear, stop the flow and minimize the impact and keep people informed. what we ve been doing is pushing parallel paths because we don t know which one is going to work. on the stop the flow options, we still have several available to us. and that includes this, what we call the junk shot, also the same as top kill. pump the material in and plug up the blowout preventer and we also have an option available to us to put a valve or new blowout preventer on top of the existing one. what we re going to do is keep developing options and keep trying these options until we get this flow stopped. and ultimately the back stop is the relief well. is that happening now as well? you re still digging the relief
