The ongoing face-off between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over Delhi's mayoral election played out on the capital's streets today as both parties organised protest marches against each other.
Amid the brawl between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party over the election of a new mayor for Delhi which stalled the mayoral elections, AAP is now trying to seek support from the Congress councillors.
AAP has accused the BJP of trying to force the nominated members, appointed by the L-G, to vote in the MCD House, and that it is trying to increase the number of its votes through "wrong means".
Delhi will get its next Mayor today over a month after a high stakes battle for control of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi resulted in the ruling Aam Aadmi Party unseating the BJP after three terms in power.
After a gap of 10 years, Delhi is set to get a single mayor, and the Aam Aadmi Party, which won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election, has fielded two candidates against the BJP's one.
