you went to the point of seeing your military i.d. cut up in front of you. for you, how has this journey been? right now, it s full circle. i m still processing it. last night, i finally broke down. i think a lot of people are, they re processing this. it s satisfying and rewarding. i m just humbled to be part of this. lieutenant choi has said to me, i would love to serve my country again, i would love to reenlist. even though the president s going to sign a bill or a law repealing don t ask, don t tell, that kind of thing won t be possible for quite some time? well, i think that s very important you point that out because, you know, they have to do a certification, write the policies and procedures. i think there s a going to be a lot of pressure. i hope they don t slow-walk this. in the last few months saying

the military s perspective, would this decision would they see this as a net plus or net minus when it comes to recruiting? it really depends on who you have ask. from our stories, we heard anecdotally from a lot of folks they didn t really care one way or the other what someone s sexual orientation was. they cared about the person s skill level and that they were a dedicated soldier. but the pentagon reports showed that up to a third of troops interviewed said that a repeal may have some effect on their decision to reenlist, would have some effect on their decisions to suggest that someone else enlist. so we ll see in the next few months, in the next few years exactly what the impact of this is going to be. we will see. we ll follow it right along with you have at stars and stripes. thank you for joining me and leaving a sick little child at home with your wife to come here and talk about don t ask, don t tell. hope he s okay. several ath leads in idaho facing harsh sex ch
