SEMO women's track and field won the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championship held last week in Birmingham. It was the Women's team eighth indoor title, and their first since 2013. Head coach Eric Crumpecker was selected as the OVC Women's Coach of the Year.

SEMO Redhawks football center Zack Gieg has been named the winner of the Rimington Award for the Division I Football Championship Subdivision. The Rimington Award is given annually to the top center in the nation at each level of college football.
