Two Young Daughters Will See Mother In Palliative Care

(Photo: Courtesy of Facebook) A social media plea to allow two children see their mother in palliative care at Moncton Hospital, has been answered. Colleen Cail was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. “Colleen has stage 4. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, and we were told Christmas eve that it has spread to her brain and the pain was uncontrollable. That is when we brought her in, and found out it had also spread to her spine,” Her sister Tina Baker told us. She has four children,  but due to COVID-19 restrictions, her youngest daughters have only seen their mom once since she was admitted to hospital after Christmas.

Codiac RCMP To Ticket Anti-Mask Demonstrators

Codiac RCMP will be taking a new approach when it comes to anti-mask rallies in downtown Moncton. While the focus has been on education, Superintendent Tom Critchlow told Moncton City Council we are now in the Red Phase of pandemic recovery and individuals could be ticketed for violating public health guidelines. “We will work individually in issuing tickets contrary to the provincial Emergency Measures Act. We will take those steps while respecting people’s rights,” he notes. Councillor Paulette Theriault has not been impressed by the demonstrations and applauds the new strategy. She noted how more than two million people have died related to COVID-19 and she said it’s beyond her comprehension that anyone wouldn’t be concerned.

What Do We Make Of It So Far?
