Workers need to trust that they can report incidences of workplace harassment, without their confidentiality being compromised, share experts from TAFEP.
Minister for Manpower Dr Tan See Leng said the authorities handled 378 workplace sexual harassment cases in 2021, initiating investigations for 305 of them. Currently, 151 cases are still undergoing investigation.
This involves enforcing an anti-harassment policy, fostering a safe and conducive culture, exercising sensitivity from the top, and improving employees understanding, share experts from TAFEP.
Dutch Ambassador visits Syunik, gets familiarized with works carried out by Women’s Recourse Centre
Ambassador of the Netherlands Nico Schermers, visited Monday Goris town, Syunik region, to be informed about opportunities and cultural and economic activities in the city, the Embassy reported in a statement.
During his visit to the Women’s Resource Centre he was told about the support of Dutch PUM Netherlands senior experts to the Centre as well as the cooperation that had arranged with the Dutch company Louet spinning wheels.
The main objective of the Women’s Recourse Centre is to promote economic and political empowerment of women in Armenia and other Eastern Partnership countries, through effective implementation of gender policy, women’s health protection, improvement of women’s social protection, gender-based violence prevention among other things.
