An Ohio man who allegedly shot and killed his ex-girlfriend at a Bob Evans restaurant where she waitressed was arrested following an 11-hour manhunt Friday night, according to reports.
Rebecca Jean Rogers, 38, was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her wounds, police said, according to FOX 8 in Cleveland.
Diners at the Canton, Ohio, restaurant took cover under tables on Friday morning when the suspect, Richard James Nelson, 54, allegedly opened fire on Rogers, then ran out the back door, precipitating the manhunt.

CANTON – Richard J. Nelson is accused of walking into the Bob Evans at 9:30 a.m., going behind a counter and opening fire, shooting waitress Rebecca Jean Rogers, 38, multiple times in a back hallway.
Authorities say it was a domestic-related shooting. Nelson and Rogers had been in a relationship, but recently separated, Police Chief Jack Angelo said Friday.
Nelson previously had been charged with felonious assault and domestic violence several times, but grand juries opted not to indict him in those cases.
Rogers was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Nelson, 54, fled the scene but was arrested around 8:30 p.m., southeast of East Canton. Angelo said a police dog nabbed Nelson following a foot chase. The U.S. Marshals Service, Stark County Sheriff s Office and an air unit from the Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted in his capture.

CANTON, Ohio â A gunman is at large after police say he fatally shot a waitress during a domestic incident inside a Bob Evans Restaurant in Canton on Friday, Canton Police Chief Jack Angelo confirmed.
The waitress, identified as 38-year-old Rebecca Jean Rogers of Canton, died from her injuries after she was taken to Mercy Hospital.
The shooting happened at around 9:30 a.m. ET inside the restaurant located at 3400 Lesh Street Northeast.

There were six to eight employees and just as many customers inside the restaurant when the shooting took place at 9:30 a.m., according to Angelo. Customers took cover underneath tables after Nelson entered the restaurant and began shooting, police said.
