Realme has postponed its upcoming anniversary launch on May 4 which would have seen the company launch a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 powered phone along with a new Realme TV and AIoT products. As per rumours, the company would have unveiled the Realme X7 Max in India which is expected to be a rebranded Realme GT Neo. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had previously announced that the company will be hosting a launch event on May 4 to celebrate its third anniversary in India where it will also launch some new products. However, given the surge in the COVID-19 cases in India, the company has decided to postpone the event for now.

Realme X7 Max could launch in India in May, according to a tipster. He also claims that the phone could be a rebranded Realme GT Neo smartphone that was launched in China last month. Realme GT Neo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, comes with a triple rear camera setup, and has a hole-punch display design. Past reports suggest that the Realme X7 Max could also be a rebranded model of the Realme X7 Pro Ultra.

MediaTek, the largest chipmaker for the third quarter of 2020, today announced the launch of the Dimensity 1200 processor in India. The latest Dimensity 1200 processor is the company s highest-end chip and is big on performance for mid-range phones. Following the launch, Realme will be India s first smartphone brand to introduce a Dimensity 1200-powered smartphone, likely the Realme GT Neo. The GT Neo launch took place in China late last month and the company said the phone is its camera flagship.

MediaTek has finally launched its flagship, 5g-ready Dimensity 1200 chipset in India. The announcement was made at the 8th MediaTek Technology Diaries virtual event where the company not only made the chipset official for the country but also gave Realme India s CEO, Madhav Sheth, the stage to confirm that the company will be the first to launch a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset phone in India.
Sheth did not confirm the name of the device, but this phone will most likely be the long-rumoured Realme GT NEO. For now, little information exists about the device, but more is expected in the coming days as the company is expected to launch the phone in India next month. Sheth also confirmed Realme will also be launching some new TWS & TVs powered with MediaTek processor
