As per rumours, the company would have unveiled the Realme X7 Max in India which is expected to be a rebranded Realme GT Neo. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had previously announced that the company will be hosting a launch event on May 4 to celebrate its third anniversary in India where it will also launch some new products. However, given the surge in the COVID-19 cases in India, the company has decided to postpone the event for now.

The announcement was made at the 8th MediaTek Technology Diaries virtual event where the company not only made the chipset official for the country but also gave Realme India s CEO, Madhav Sheth, the stage to confirm that the company will be the first to launch a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset phone in India.  Sheth did not confirm the name of the device, but this phone will most likely be the long-rumoured Realme GT NEO. For now, little information exists about the device, but more is expected in the coming days as the company is expected to launch the phone in India next month. Sheth also confirmed Realme will also be launching some new TWS & TVs powered with MediaTek processor
