defend themselves, which obama has denied them and in syria, it s led to 160,000 dead. so i mean it sets up a straw man. he make the argument and i think it was a very weak and defensive speech and there was no response from any of the cadets. it s quiet as a mouse. let me make a slieg different point. i don t think it s really a foreign policy to say on the one hand you have these crazy interventionists, on the one hand you have these realists. it s a gimmick is what it is. he does it every time in every speech. it s not president obama laying out a vision. i think the reason he defines himself in opposition to his critic and particularly president bush, there were echos ofs president bush here throughout the entire speech, he doesn t know what he s doing. he doesn t have a clear foreign policy vision. the best way to define himself is to define himself in opposition to those who criticized him.
