governors decided to say no. those bills have passed namgsly. democrats and republicans coming together to support the same plans to perform the same anyone e agency. the governor saying they are all reform transparency. in the two governors are known to have a rather unusual or rather bipart san and a very behind-the-scenes alliance with each other. one legislator told the new york timings real reform gets buried
accountability, real reform is what is passed. a scandal happens, people s attention goes elsewhere and then washington goes to work. that is when the forces of the status quo gets to work. they say you don t want to do these major overhauls. let s kind of do it or not really do it. in bernie sanders case, the answer has always been spend more money, spend more money. once again he s proposing another big v.a. spending bill that is going to flood the system as opposeed to change a culture, which is where you hold people accountable for their actions and then give veterans other options. this isn t about dismantling a system. this is about making a system work. thankfully there s real reform legislation and there s fake reform legislation and we re going to call it out. right there the comments you heard from him that we just played seem to be political. service members and veterans, apolitical here. they choose to rise above that. i m noting some political tone there with the attack
i haven t had much contact with the families over the last couple of weeks. i just i can only imagine how they feel. you know, as we learn more about this, real reform has to come out of all of this. we re looking at at least 40 veterans that have died allegedly from this scandal. you just pray that their deaths will not be for nothing, that real and meaningful reform will come from this situation. we have a tendency in this country to call for first right away, right? some of those calls for firings right away are justified because this didn t exactly start today or yesterday or the day before. politico is actually calling this president obama s heck of a job brownie moment.
