May 6, 2021 The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services reports an inmate, who failed to return to the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln from a work assignment last month, is now back in custody. They say Raymond Jimenez was arrested by Omaha Police and is now in the Lancaster County Jail. Jimenez was supposed to return to the facility after going to a job service in downtown Lincoln on April 7th. He is now facing a charge of escape. Jimenez’s sentence started June 15th, 2020. He was sentenced four to six - and - a - half years for charges out of Douglas County that include operation of a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

The NDCS said Raymond Jimenez was taken into custody on Tuesday.Sign up for our Newsletters In the news release, the NDCS explained that Jimenez did not return to the Community Corrections Center - Lincoln after going to a job service on April 7. According to the NDCS, Jimenez now faces an escape charge. Jimenez was originally sentenced to four to six and a half years for multiple charges out of Douglas County.
