Wayne State’s basketball team didn’t play a game Sunday but it turned into a day of restlessness, rather than rest.
Following an early-round knockout in the GLIAC tournament, the Warriors (12-6) anxiously awaited their NCAA tournament fate. With numerous schools around the country opting out this season, the tournament was reduced from 64 to 48 teams.
The field wasn’t unveiled until 10:30 p.m., further adding to the tension.
