the discussion with the president, at the moment and he s a wisconsin republican, budget committee chair and earlier today i think talked to him. and asked him directly about the possibility of him running in 2012. here: is it a yes or no for you in 2012? it has always been a no. if you want to run for president you need to line it all up. and, do so many things, to get ready to do that and i m not doing any of those things because i feel like i should focus my time and effort where we ought to. this deficit crisis, the budget. as chairman of the budget committee i feel like i would be walking away from a fight i have started and i want to help finish it. bill: and, the medicare plan, too, it is clear in that answer, he has a wife and young children in addition to his current job and that is his top priority. troubling news on the jobs front this morning. the private sector only adding 38,000 jobs in may. that is significantly lower than what leading economists had expected. here
or older is not affected. now, why are points like that being lost in this public debate? points like that are being lost because millions of dollars of negative ads are being run to try and scare seniors and confuse seniors. the irony of this bill is with all this mediscare the democrats are running it s omabacare that ends medicare as we know t. it takes half a trillion dollars from medicare, not to to make it more solvent but to spend on the other government program, omabacare, then it creates a new 15-panel board of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats starting next year to price control and ration medicare for current seniors. we stop the raid, we stop the rationing, we preserve the benefit for everybody above 55, but in order to do that and make its promise that has been made to these retirees, you have to reform it for our generation. your generation, my generation, so that we can have a program when we retire, and the way in which we propose to reform it is the system i propo
