Sharjah24: His Excellency Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), inaugurated the Omani Heritage Week at the Cultural Heritage Events Centre “Al Bait Al Gharbi” in the Heart of Sharjah yesterday, Thursday, in the presence of Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Advisor at the Office of the Sharjah Ruler, HE Dr Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, and the media coordinator Abdullah Al Dhehli from the Omani side, in addition to a high-level attendance of representatives from the Sultanate of Oman, enthusiasts of Omani heritage, and members of the media. This is part of the SIH's monthly agenda related to the World Heritage Weeks Programme in Sharjah, organized to showcase diverse examples of global heritage, its elements, and components.

SHARJAH, 18th January, 2023 (WAM) Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, Chairperson of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), today launched the 13th Sharjah International Traditional Crafts Forum under the slogan “Carpets and Textiles”.Held at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, the forum is expected to attract participation from 17 Arab and international parties in the rich scientific, cultural, and artistic programme of events.The opening ceremony featured performances by the Egyptian troupe in the presence of Abdulkadar Memedi, Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia; Salem.
The operetta featured a rendition of the poems of Emirati poet Maryam Al Naqbi by Fayez Al Saeed, Walid Al Jassem and Faisal Al Jassem, while a group of female students from Abdullah bin Al Mubarak school in Khorfakkan, performed a graceful dance in the background.
