Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken up widening of Ganeshkhind road from Pune University junction to Sancheti hospital junction, from 36 metres to 45 metres, with Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) building a two-storey bridge with elevated metro rail above and a flyover below it.
The Pune Metro will be providing cycles from its Deccan station and PMC station for the residents to travel to Laxmi Road, where the walking plaza will be held.
