After receiving complaint of odour from Delhi s Tughlakabad area again, a team of National Disaster Response Force has rushed to the spot. On May 6, around 450 girl students from Rani Jhansi School and Government Girls Senior Secondary School admitted to hospital following gas leak.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday has issued notice to the Delhi government, the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the Delhi Pollution Control Committee over the chemical gas leak from the Tughlaqabad container depot that affected over 450 school children. The NGT has also issued a show cause notice to the Container Corporation of India asking why its Tughlaqabad unit should not be not shifted to some other place.

At least 300 students were admitted to four nearby hospitals after gas leakage from a container in Delhi s Tughlakabad on Saturday morning. Delhi Police has registered a FIR in the incident.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia confirmed the gas leak and said over 85 students have been affected by it. According to reports in ANI, the number fo students affected by the gas leak is 450.
