Shasta County’s long-awaited update of its Capitol display has been unveiled, though when it will make its debut in Sacramento is not known because of the pandemic. Randi Slaughter, who spearheaded the update, showed it off via pictures during a presentation to the Shasta County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday. After the meeting, Slaughter told the Record Searchlight how pleased she is with the finished product. “I think it’s wonderful. I think it’s bright and it highlights so much of what Shasta County has to offer in such a small space,” Slaughter said. “The attention to detail is phenomenal … and we’re really proud of it.”
