PATNA: Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Thursday received a major jolt in Bihar as its around 200 senior leaders and workers, led by its former state general secretary Keshav Singh, quit the party and joined the ruling JD(U).
The disgruntled LJP leaders joined the ruling JD(U) in presence of its national president and Rajya Sabha member RCP Singh. The joining event took place at the JD(U) state office here.
Earlier on Wednesday, LJP’s senior leader Rameshwar Chourasia who contested the 2020 assembly polls from Sasaram constituency, left the party. Chourasia, a former MLA, was earlier with the BJP and had won Nokha assembly seat thrice on the BJP ticket. He had joined the LJP before the last assembly polls after the BJP denied him the party symbol to contest the election.
