Yoga televangelist Ramdev on Sunday withdrew his derogatory remarks against allopathic medicine after Union health minister Harsh Vardhan wrote to him seeking a retraction and saying his “extremely unfortunate” comments had disrespected “corona warriors” and could demoralise healthcare workers.
“Hon’ble Minister, I have received your letter. I withdraw my statement, putting to rest the controversy over various medical practices,” Ramdev tweeted in Hindi from his personal Twitter handle.

2,500 Covid patients receive Coronil kits on Nishank s appeal

New Delhi, May 15 : Yoga guru Ramdev s Patanjali Yogpeeth has distributed Coronil kits to 2,500 Covid patients in Haridwar on an appeal made by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Haridwar is also Nishank s Lok Sabha constituency.
The Coronil kits have been given to those Covid patients who are undergoing treatment at home. All patients have been advised to take the Ayurvedic medicines given in the Coronil kit along with ongoing treatment to increase their immunity against the infection.
According to Patanjali Yogpeeth, the use of the Coronil kit increases the immunity of people which will help in fighting Covid-19.
RSS to tie-up with religious and social organisations for social transformation
The office-bearers of the RSS, aware of the matter, said that modalities for collaborations would be discussed in the upcoming two-day meet of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha

NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) wants to work with religious, social and non-governmental organisations like Art of Living (AOL) or Swami Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth for social ‘transformation’.
According to functionaries of the Sangh, ideological fountainhead of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the body is keen on working with other organisations, which came in its contact during Covid-19 relief work last year, to bring about a ‘positive change in the society’ and reforms.
