Dec 12, Colombo: The Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhasasana Prof. Kapila Gunawardena states that arrangements have been made to hold next year’s state Vesak festival in Nagadeepa with the aim of developing cooperation among the people.
Kapila Gunawardena made this statement when he called on the Chief Incumbent of the Ramanna Maha Nikaya Most Ven. Makulewe Wimala Thero. He pointed out that the failure to develop inter-ethnic cooperation was due to the obstruction of certain politicians.
The Chief Prelate also inquired about the Sangha discourse that was proposed to be held. The Secretary informed the Chief Prelate about the possibility of establishing a Sangha Tribunal.
