Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has assigned portfolios to 12 members of the state cabinet, with the Mineral Resources, Excise, and General Administration Department remaining with Sai. Sharma will handle key departments such as Home and Jail, Panchayat and Rural Development, Technical Education and Employment, and Science and Technology.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday assigned portfolios, keeping Mineral Resources, Excise, and General Administration Department with himself while giving home to deputy CM Vijay Sharma.
The General Administration Department released a notice in the gazette stating that Sai will also be in charge of the ministries of Energy, Public Relations, Commercial Tax (Excise), and Transport in addition to any other departments that aren't explicitly assigned to any minister.

Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, currently out on bail in the 2021 Kawardha communal violence case, has also been given the charge of Home and Jail, Panchayat and Rural Development, Technical Education and Employment, Science and Technology.
