Trolley service coming soon to downtown Fayetteville

When she was hired in Fayetteville in 2019, Cool Spring Downtown District President and CEO Bianca Shoneman wanted to help make the city a destination. The idea of bringing trolleys to the area was discussed before, Shoneman said, but never happened. She said Huff told her if she could find trolleys, he would invest. Now, after a pause in the project due to the pandemic, two 36-seater trolleys will hit the streets sometime before the city s International Folk Festival in September, Shoneman said, but hopefully sooner.
