India’s exports of the COVID-19 vaccine stood at around ₹ 338 crore till February 8, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

Replying to supplementary questions in the House, Mr. Goyal said exports of the vaccine started in January.

197 people missing, 20 dead in Uttarakhand flood: Amit Shah
Briefing the Upper House on the Uttarakhand disaster, Union home minister Amit Shah said that as many as 197 people are missing while 20 have died in Sunday s avalanche and flash floods in the state.
He said the figures received from the state government may change and the situation is being monitored round-the-clock at the highest level by the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.
Shah told the Rajya Sabha that the rising water levels washed away the functional Rishiganga small hydro project of 13.2 MW and also affected the under-construction 520 MW NTPC Hydro Power Project at Tapovan on the downstream of the Dhauli Ganga river.

andolan jeevi , or those who survive on protests, during his address inthe Rajya Sabha and sought to associate himself with the expression.
The Rajya Sabha MP shared a photograph of him and farmers leader Rakesh Tikait on Twitter and said in Hindi on the micro-blogging site, Say with pride..we are all andolanjeevi.jai jawan, jai kisaan.
The photograph was taken when Raut met Tikait at the Ghazipur protest site outside Delhi on 2 February to express solidarity with farmers agitating against the Centre s new agri-marketing laws.
