For the next Lok Sabha elections, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), the opposition alliance in Maharashtra, has reached a seat-sharing agreement, according India Today TV.
A newly formed alliance of two small parties in Maharashtra is seeking to expand that into a third front of political parties opposed to both the ruling BJP-led NDA and the Congress-led group that is calling itself "INDIA". The Pragatik Vikas Manch (PVM), the new alliance whose key leaders are former MP Raju Shetti s Swabhimani Paksha and the Peasants and Workers Party, has approached other small parties and Telangana s ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) to form a third front.

Farmer leaders from Punjab protesting at Delhi borders have started travelling to different parts of the country from the dharna site to connect them to the ongoing agitation. Protesting unions now plan to take the agitation to 20 states covering nearly 500 districts by December end, the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) has claimed.
