All the fans of Rajnikanth out there, you need to wait a little longer for the release of the much-awaited film 2.0. The makers of the sci-fi film have postponed the release date once again to April 2018.
The Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer was originally supposed to release in December 2017 but was later pushed to January 2018. Lyca Productions has now finally confirmed that the movie will hit the theatre screens on April 27, 2018.

New Delhi: As congratulatory messages poured in all through Thursday after it was announced that he would be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, superstar Rajinikanth took to Twitter to convey thanks and gratitude. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government of India, as well as several others including Raj Bahadur, the bus driver who would inform him of acting auditions during his days as a bus conductor. For discovering my acting skill and for encouraging me, my friend Raj Bahadur, he wrote in a special letter he posted on Twitter.

Reacting to the news of him being honoured with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Rajinikanth has thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and several other friends, family members and mentors for the award.
“I express my heartfelt thanks to the central government and prime minister Narendra Modi for awarding me with Indian cinema’s highest honour, the Dadasaheb Phalke award,” the actor said in a statement.
