Pune ZP office (in pic) in Camp. The complainant approached ACB three days prior (on Saturday). His plaint was first verified and then a trap laid for the accountant, wherein he was caught red-handed taking the bribe and arrested.

A police sub-inspector attached with the Yerawada traffic branch was booked by the
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding Rs 3.60 lakh as bribe to issue a no-objection certificate (
NOC) to install advertising hoardings in Yerawada.
Police sub-inspector Basavraj Chitte, who works with the Yerawada traffic division, has been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of
Corruption Act. The complainant owns a business of hoardings and advertising, therefore he requires the NOCs of the traffic depart- ment to install and place advertising hoardings in various areas in the city. The complainant wanted to place hoardings in the Yerawada area, therefore he had approached PSI Chitte. The officer demanded Rs 3.60 lakh to issue the traffic department NOC.
