Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the formation of eight welfare boards for different communities and castes in Rajasthan, ahead of the assembly polls. These boards will provide suggestions to the government on improving the conditions of the concerned castes and communities, proposing welfare schemes, and coordinating with various departments. The boards will consist of non-government members and government officials from various state departments. They will work towards providing basic facilities, promoting employment, and alleviating backwardness of the concerned sections. Concrete measures against social evils will also be proposed.
