Top Glove directors continue to buy company shares

KUALA LUMPUR (March 4): Two directors of Top Glove Corp Bhd have acquired more shares in the company, ahead of the glovemaker’s quarterly results announcement next Tuesday (March 9). Filings showed that Top Glove independent director Tan Sri Rainer Althoff acquired 10,000 shares at RM5 apiece today increasing his stake to 27,000 shares in the company. Another independent director, Datuk Noripah Kamso, also acquired 10,000 shares at RM4.945 per share, raising her stake to 70,000 shares. Shares of Top Glove traded between RM4.89 and RM5.10 today. The two directors were among seven out of 12 Top Glove directors who have recently expressed intention to deal during the latest closed period.

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): BlackRock, the world s largest asset manager that currently holds a 1.61% equity stake in Top Glove Corp Bhd, voted against the re-election of six independent directors at the rubber glove maker s annual general meeting today, as it holds the view that the board had failed in its oversight responsibility relating to its migrant workers health and safety. BlackRock also “intends to hold other incumbent directors not on the ballot at this AGM accountable, by voting against their re-election at future shareholder meetings”, it said in its Vote Bulletin released this evening. The six independent directors are Datuk Lim Han Boon, Datuk Noripah Kamso, Datuk Norma Mansor, Tan Sri Rainer Althoff, Sharmila Sekarajasekaran and Lim Andy.

Top Glove factories resume operations with reinforced health and safety SOPs

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): Top Glove Corp Bhd said all of its 28 factories in Klang have resumed operations with stricter adherence to health and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
