As far as the month of March is concerned, rains are absent from the commercial capital of India. In fact, the monthly mean of Mumbai is at 0.1 mm, which means that the city almost does not see any rains whatsoever.
The city of Mumbai has seen 0.8 mm of rains in the last 24 hours. These are parting showers as Southwest Monsoon will soon bid adieu to Mumbai soon, in the next 3-4 days. Monsoon has already vacated some parts of Maharashtra.
This year also, expect the monsoon to withdraw with some delay from Marathwada, South Madhya Maharashtra and South Konkan and Goa. Rain activities will be light to moderate over most parts of Maharashtra except and North Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and North Konkan and Goa.
The capital city Mumbai remains in queue for commencement of withdrawal of southwest monsoon. The city has overshot the normal date of 08th October and the withdrawal is expected to be delayed by one week. The extended session of the Monsoon is favoring few spells of rain and thundershowers lasting till weekend.
These Mumbai rains are expected to be moderate in nature tomorrow and day after tomorrow. Other days, light rainfall is expected to be seen over the city.
