Bhandara, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Gondia and Wardha are likely to have rain and thundershowers on 21stSep. The rain belt will extend further to reach Amravati, Akola, Jalna, Aurangabad, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar, the next day on 22ndSep. Significant rains will vacate the entire region on 23rdSep and only cloudy sky with light drizzle is likely for the subsequent 48hr.
Now, by tomorrow, rains will be light as the system will move away. The next spell may be seen around September 19 as another system will form in Bay around 17th taking a couple of days to move in.
Rain activities over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai and suburbs will be heavy to very heavy between September 13 and 15. There are chances of widespread flash floods and water logging over these areas. This may be the red alert a situation for North Madhya Maharashtra South Gujarat as well as for Mumbai.
Today, more of Kerala and parts of Karnataka will see rains. Tomorrow, more of Coastal Karnataka will see rains. Thereafter, the rain belt will shift further upward towards Goa and some regions of Konkan.
The state of Maharashtra has been seeing some good rainfall activities for the past few days. So much so that the city of Mumbai recorded a whopping 94 mm rains in the last 24 hours.
