The reason for rain over Rajasthan was the formation of a cyclonic circulation. Whereas a trough was extending from Kerala to West Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, a Confluence zone had also formed over central parts of the country leading to these pre monsoon activities.
These unseasonal rains are expected to continue today as well slightly more than what was seen yesterday. Parts of Maharashtra, East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh are the ones that may see some showers today as well. The possibility of isolated hailstorm in a couple of pockets cannot be ruled out. Gujarat however will not see any rains.
Unseasonal rains are expected to lash some parts of Central India including the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh as well as parts of Gujarat.
These rains will be seen between March 7 and 9 over West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan. On March 8, the rains may extend to Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Gujarat as well. on March 9, it will remain over West Madhya Pradesh region and give some more rainfall.
Rains will begin from the Madhya Pradesh region tomorrow and continue until Feb 19. Rain belt will cover Chhattisgarh on February 19 and 21. Thereafter, eastern regions of the country will begin to witness rains including Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal on Feb 20 and 21
