KTR Condemns BJP s U-turn On Kazipet Rail Coach Factory Mar 05, 2021, 10:59 IST Working President KTR fired the centre for taking U-turn on Kazipet Rail Coach Factory   “Setting up of a Rail Coach factory is the constitutional right of Telangana. BJP does not have any right to reject or take a U-turn on the promise made to Telangana in Parliament. Rail coach factory is Telangana’s constitutional right and we will fight for our rights with the Centre,” said KTR. He also added that the TRS MPs would fight for the rail coach factory in Parliament in the upcoming sessions.  “The BJP government at the Center has been doing injustice to Telangana since the formation of the state. The BJP once again exhibited its anti-Telangana stance by failing to fulfill its promise to set up a railway coach factory in the state as promised in the Reorganisation Act,” said TRS Working President KTR.

Ghana School of Railways begins operation

Ghana School of Railways begins operation LISTEN The Ghana School of Railways and Infrastructure Development has started operations. The school, which is part of the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, offers only engineering courses. The first batch of students reported to the school on Friday, January 15, 2021. In 2021, the school is expected to admit some 300 students. Over the next four years, the school is looking to admit about 5,000 students. For years (2017-2021), the Minister of Railways Development, Joe Ghartey, spearheaded the establishment of the school. With the massive investments made in the railway sector by the Akufo-Addo government, the development of human resource capacity in the sector is expected to record a major boost.

The Ghana School of Railways and Infrastructure Development has finally started operations. The School of Railways and Infrastructure Development is part of the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa. All programmes being offered by the School are engineering courses. On January 15, 2021, the first batch of students reported to the School and are currently undergoing orientation. In 2021, the School is expected to admit some 300 students. Over the next four years, the School is looking to admit about 5,000 students. The duration of each programme is four years. For years (2017-2021), the Minister of Railways Development, Hon. Joe Ghartey, spearheaded the establishment of the School.
